Piano Instructor:
- Earned Bachelor of Science in Sociology, University of Utah.
- Inspired by daughters to teach piano.
- Over 10 years of dedicated instruction.
Tuition and fees:
- Tuition is due by the 1st of the month.
- Monthly fees are based on enrollment and reserved time slot, not on attendance.
- Late fee will be charged if payment is not received by the 1st lesson.
- Recital fee charged in April.
- Piano book fees as needed.
- Tuition fees may increase on a yearly basis.
- Tuition not only covers time spent with students, but also for lesson preparation, sheet music, expenses, and supplies needed to maintain the studio.
Lesson and Make-up schedule:
- 30 minute weekly sessions.
- 3 guaranteed lessons per month, most months will be 4, sometimes 5.
- NO lessons on Thanksgiving Day, weeks of Spring break and Christmas. Dates TBD.
- Lessons will be as scheduled on any other holiday.
- MAKE-UP LESSONS ARE NOT GUARANTEED and are only offered if a slot opens up due to a cancellation.
- A make-up lesson will not be offered for no shows, last minute cancels, attending a birthday party, or doctors appt.
- A make-up lesson will be offered for sickness, family emergency, or school-related activities.
- If a scheduled make-up lesson is missed, another make-up will not be offered.
Expectations:
- Students will need an acoustic or a digital piano with 88 weighted keys.
- Nails should be trimmed short for proper hand position and technique.
- Daily practice is necessary.
- Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
Studio Rules:
- SANITIZE HANDS upon arrival.
- KEEP SHOES ON.
- STAY in waiting area until lesson time.
- BATHROOM WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO USE.
Cancellation and Termination Policy:
- As a courtesy, please give 24 hour notice, if a lesson needs to be cancelled.
- NO SHOWS are unacceptable.
- One month of paid notification is required if a student decides to take a break or discontinue lessons.
- Lessons may be terminated if a student consistently comes to lessons unprepared.
